Unfortunately, he passed ...Merle Haggard was right. Unfortunately, he passed away on his 79th birthday on April 6, 2016. Modern country is nothing like classic country. Instead of singing about shooting a man in Reno just to watch him die or turning 21 in prison, they sing about stuff that makes no sense at all. And most recently, we lost Loretta Lynn. She was also a big critic when it came to modern country music. If you ask me, I think there oughta be a law that says you can't put any hip hop or bubblegum pop crap in country music. Bring back the singing cowboy. Bring back the Western music everybody loves. Do it the right way. Call it Country and Western once again. And by all means, if you see somebody playing modern day country junk on their Alexa, tell them to turn that crap off. You want something that sounds like George Jones, not George Michael. And one more thing. Don't expect Nashville to let you play your country music however you want. You're better off going to Austin, Atlanta, or even Bakersfield. They won't mess with your spirit. And that's the way it should be. Taking back the country one note at a time. Three chords and the truth. All the way. Oh yeah.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
