To them, it was still murder. You have to remember that back in those days, vigilante justice was considered almost the real law and they didn't believe in a fair trial since they felt no need for one. Any crime that went on in any Old West town was considered a hanging offense except train robbery. I plan on making a movie about this called, "Vigilante Law" that deals with the story of a man who shows remorse for the many killings he had to commit in the name of vigilante justice. It will make the Western genre seem much darker than it already is. But hey, what did you expect? It's not like I'm gonna sugarcoat the history of Old West vigilantes! If I'm gonna make a Western version of "Death Wish", I'm gonna give it to you real and I'm gonna give it to you raw. You'll be able to see a history of the Old West like you've never seen it before. The way it was meant to be seen. Because if there's anything I do best it's to keep it real 100. And there ain't nothing wrong with that. But remember. Lynching today is a hate crime.
