Because that is the saddest song I have ever heard. And I'm not being sarcastic, that's the truth. Death is always a somber event. Especially for a soldier. Just think about it. Fallen comrade who definitely deserved a tribute. And that's the song they played. How fitting. I bet he would have wanted that. And it fits him so well. In the words of legendary country music artist and actor Trace Adkins "Dust to dust. Don't cry for us. We made it to Arlington." And if you wanna throw one more in there I've got legendary country music artist and actor Billy Ray Cyrus's quote "All gave some. Some gave all.
