Expect Prices To Jump!

Friends, here's a short article for you!

This week is the first week of the month and that's when I go get my hay for the month.  I usually call the place that I get my hay from to find out whether it's comes in or not before driving down to pickup a load.

Since I feed my horses straight alfalfa for the extra protein, that's what I buy.

Well, I just got off the phone with my friend who sells me my hay.  He advised me that the alfalfa that sold for $10 a bale last month is now going for $14 to $16 a bale.  Then he let me know that alfalfa hay might be as high as $20 a bale in another month.

Friends, if hay goes up then all animal feeds will go up. And if all animal feeds go up, we can expect the price of food to jump. And there starts the domino effect.

I spoke with a friend who runs a dairy and he says that his feed bill and fuel to ship to market is through the roof. Of course the poor guy gets hit coming and going.

The reason the feed bill is so high is because the price of gas and diesel has skyrocketed in recent months. Then to add insult to injury, his fuel bill has skyrocketed because he has to get his milk to market. And this applies to every part of the food and agriculture industry.

Ranchers have to supplement their cattle's feed, especially in a Feed Lot situation. They pay high prices for the feed and their fuel to ship their cattle to slaughter cost an arm and a leg. Farmers have the same problems.

And what happens when we go to the store to buy food, well friends we'll probably either buy less or not buy what we can afford to do without.  In my situation, since I'm retired, I can't exactly work overtime to help bring in extra money. So guess what, a few horses may be leaving here real soon.

Fact is that if I can't afford to feed them right, then I have to cull the herd.  The ones that ain't worth keeping may be leaving.

And as for the average American who works hard to make ends meet, they will have to either get more hours or cut back as well.

Maybe ask for a raise, you say? Well folks, the last Real Economic Depression that Americans suffered through was not in 2008 and 2009 or in the 1920s and 1930s. It was actually under President Jimmy Carter during his term in the late 1970s.

Back then the U.S. Inflation Rate was 14%, the National Average Unemployment Rate was 16%, Interest Rates were as high as 21.5%.Nationally.  Yes, the Prime Interest Rate hit 21.5% in December 1980, the highest rate in U.S. history under any President.

Yes, that's really how it was. And yes, every time the Democrats talk about "the worse economic conditionssince the Great Depression" - they seem to conveniently skip over the dreadful years of the Carter Administration.

I remember those days well. Working folks asked their companies for raises and companies either refused and their employees went on strike - or many companies simply closed their doors. Across the nation the Unemployment Rate may have been 16%, but here in California during that time the Unemployment Rate was at 22%.

By the time he left office in January of 1981, he had left President Ronald Reagan with an American Economy in shambles. It was all due to Carter's Economic Policies, which not surprisingly is very close to Obama's Economic Policies.

It was a horrible time to be looking for work. It was a horriblew time in America. And friends, I see us headed back there.

So maybe when President Barack Hussein Obama is finish celebrating the killing of Osama Bin Ladin, he can do something about our Economy -  because friends, if someone doesn't start working on the economy soon it's all going to Hell in a hand-basket.

DRILL NOW - Part Four - American Oil Companies

WE NEED TO DRILL RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW!

Yes, right now! Not tomorrow, yesterday!

During World War II, we the United States supplied 80% of all of the oil for all of the Allied Powers. It's true, we did it.

There was no Middle Eastern Oil back then. Fact is that Saudi Arabian Oil was not discovered until 1938 and wasn't a factor in the world's production of oil until the mid to late 1950s.

During World War II and the Korean War, we had to rely on ourselves. And we did it!

We fueled the manufacturing giant that President Franklin Roosevelt called The Arsenal of Democracy.  We built ships and put them to sea.

We sent American troops around the world.  We overthrew despots and we killed Nazis and those with similar ambitions. We did it with guns and manpower, and yes with our oil from beneath our soil.

So how did we get in such a situation where we are now held hostage by Foreign Countries who produce oil and use it as a sword of power.  The history of our dependence on other oil rich nations for our energy needs shows a Nation striving to be dependent instead of independent.

It  is interesting in that it is the story of how decades of Liberal Policies of the U.S. Government has sold us out.  How you ask? Through graft and lobbyist and special favors for Foreign Oil Nations and Environmentalist Groups with clout in Washington DC.

And by the way, Environmentalist Groups do work for Foreign Oil and against hard working Americans. For one thing, they are subsidized by Foreign Oil Nations.  Secondly, they have zero say in Foreign Countries as to how they are polluting their land, their air, and their waters.

I've found it interesting that the Environmentalist Groups would have our businesses, in all sectors of business, go broke through Over Regulation - and yet not care a thing about the products that we are buying from Foreign Countries like say Mexico where the water is polluted and the air is horrible because they either have no regulations or very little enforcement.

Ever wonder what kind of water is used to make beverages like their beers and sodas in Mexico?  Ever wonder about their use of DDT and other pesticides that are illegal to use here in the United States?

We ship their vegetables and beverages and other agriculture goods into the United States more and more these days.  Maybe someone should ask how can we do that if they are using illegal substances to grow their crops?

And please, let's not even get started on how Environmentalist Groups are putting American Farmers, Dairymen and Ranchers out of business!

The Environmentalist don't care if Foreign Countries have or follow Environmental Regulations. Why, because if they tried their none-sense bullying tactics down there - they'd be in jail or deported.

Because of the Environmentalist, the Liberal Politicians, and a weak kneed Obama White House, we are not producing enough oil for ourselves as a Nation.

Yet, we have it. And there's the rub! We have the oil and gas and coal, and we have a lot of it!

Why can't we see the future and drill now, right here right now for our oil?

There are thousands of wells here in the Continental U.S. that have been capped because of Environment Regulations. Regulations that no other country in the entire world has in place.
This handcuffs our American Oil Companies.

It's oil that we can't touch because some Liberal Politician who owes his position to Foreign Oil and Environmental Lobbyist would rather have Americans get it from Saudi Kings and Venezuelan Despots who have enslaved their people.

Why do we have to wait until there is an emergency before we as nation get off our backsides and begin to act?

Why is it Americans have to be held at the mercy of a pathetic group of thugs before we do for ourselves?

And if I'm wrong, then someone please show me where President Obama has found the time to pull himself away from the golf course and picking his final four for NCAA Tourney to actually do the business of our highest executive office?

Since Obama has been in office, he came to the realization that we needed to drill here and do it now, at least he did once before - before changing his mind.

It was just before the BP Oil Spill. He must have realized that we cannot sustain a $15 TRILLION Economy on wishful thinking for energy.

The Obama administration should either lead, follow, or get the hell out of the way so that Americans can drill here in America for American Oil and Help Americans First.

Open up that desolate area in Alaska where those billions of barrels of oil are located.   Let's uncap the wells in the West, and let's find someone in this big wide world who is smart enough to invent something where we can burn coal better than we have before -  if that's the problem.

America needs to take care of itself again. I'm tired of catering to a bunch of Wealthy Special Interest Environmentalist who don't care about what we Americans have to pay for a gallon of gasoline.  We should tell them to shut up and go sit down until we have an energy policy in America that doesn't penalize average Americans.

I think we should look at how did Bush brought down prices and repeat what he did.  Whether you are one of those who whole heartily hate George W Bush, or if you're like me who absolutely without question still admires and respects him, you have to admit that he did bring down gas prices in a relatively short time.

We know he lifted the Drilling Ban.  He looked at what American oil entrepreneurs would do if they had the chance. Would there efforts have a direct effect on our high gasoline prices? Yes, and once he found that it would bring it down, he then immediately gave the go-ahead to start drilling here right now.

He looked at what the small American oil entrepreneurs needed, and not just Big Oil who ride the wave of high prices who are ultimately responsible for high oil prices.

Just like these days, back in 2008 - All oil companies made record profits. Like today, American Oil Companies made a lot of profits in 2008.  But the Liberal Media, the Democrats and Obama will all have Americans believe that the only Oil Companies who are making huge profits are American Oil Companies.

And friends, that's a lie!

Friends, please remember that Liberals and Democrats work extremely hard to demonize American Oil Companies.  They portray them as being the biggest and most greedy in the entire world.

But friends, the facts are what they are. Yes, American Oil Companies are making huge profits.

So let's take a look at that. Let's take ExxonMobil which is reporting near-record profits in the first quarter of 2011.

Now friends, people should know that only 3% of the oil company’s profits come from Americans. Why, because Exxon-Mobil is a Global Company and subsequently its revenue base is diverse from all over the world.

To fight back against the smear campaign that the White House and the Liberal Establishment is conducting. The Vice President of Public and Government Affairs for ExxonMobil Corporation, Ken Cohen,  has posted some details about the company:

"Less than 3 percent of ExxonMobil’s earnings are from U.S. gasoline sales. ExxonMobil’s earnings are from operations in more than 100 countries around the world. The part of the business that refines and sells gasoline and diesel in the United States represents less than 3 percent – or 3 cents on the dollar – of our total earnings. For every gallon of gasoline, diesel or finished products we manufactured and sold in the United States in the last three months of 2010, we earned a little more than 2 cents per gallon. That’s not a typo. Two cents.

The main component of the price at the pump is the cost of a barrel of crude oil. Another major component of the price of gas is state and federal taxes, which range from a high of 66 cents per gallon in California to a low of 26 cents per gallon in Alaska, according to January 2011 data.

In 2010, Exxon-Mobil made less than 8 cents for every dollar of revenue from all of it's businesses around the world. That’s less than half of companies selling pharmaceuticals, beverages, tobacco and computers, just to name a few. On a dollar-for-dollar basis, our earnings, and those of the U.S. oil and gas industry at large, are generally in line with the average earnings of all U.S. industries.

ExxonMobil is one of the largest taxpayers in the United States

Last year, our total taxes and duties to the U.S. government topped $9.8 billion, which includes an income tax expense of $1.6 billion. Over the past five years, we incurred a total U.S. tax expense of almost $59 billion, which is $18 billion more than we earned in the United States during the same period. Critics often try to ignore these facts by saying the oil and gas industry receives “subsidies.” But what they really mean is that they want to increase our taxes by taking away long-standing deductions for our industry while leaving these same deductions in place for other sectors of the economy." (end statement)

PLEASE NOTE THAT EXXON-MOBIL
ACTUALLY TAKES IN LESS IN THE U.S.A.
THAN THEY PAY OUT IN TAXES.

Like I've been saying, American Oil Company don't set the oil prices.
Since we're using America's biggest oil company as an example, take a look at the chart below.

ExxonMobil owns less than 1 percent of the world’s oil reserves, and it produces less than 3 percent of the world’s daily oil supply.

So it’s really not credible to suggest that Exxon-Mobil, or any other American Oil Company, is responsible for setting the world's oil prices.  ExxonMobil, just like many other American Oil Companies, actually buys more crude oil than they produce.

Last year for example, Exxon-Mobil spent $198 billion on crude oil - which of course they used to make refined products such as gasoline.

And as for profits? Folks should keep in mind that American Oil Companies make profits by just being a minor part of America's oil consumption.

Why do I claim that American Oil Companies have only a minor part in the price of oil? Simple, because 77% of all of the oil that we use in the United States comes from Foreign Oil.

Those Foreign Oil Nations are the ones who set the prices, not our American Big Oil Companies - theirs.

And friends, all of that Foreign Oil  in most cases is 100% subsidized by their governments.

Since I've established that our oil companies are getting the biggest profits, besides Foreign Oil, so who makes the biggest profits on oil in America?

Well, I've shown where America's biggest oil company Exxon-Mobil gets a couple of pennies out of each gallon of gas.  But now let's take a look at Federal and States. The Government's bite is a whole lot bigger.

The United States Federal Government takes in somewhere between 40 to 60 cents in taxes from each gallon of gas. And of course the individual State take theirs as well.

What that amounts to is that since the State and Federal Governments spends NOTHING to find, drill, refine, pay employees, and sell that gasoline - yet their profit margin is 100%.

Of course let's talk about how many Americans all of America's Oil Companies are putting to work.  How about over TWO MILLION Americans.  That's how many people work for American Oil Companies.

So yes, Washington can tax them through the roof if they want to  - and most likely they will.

But the fact is that Washington can only tax American Oil, or really any American Company, only so much until companies layoff of American Workers to cut expenses.

Friends, American Oil Companies are Not Our Enemy!

Compared to the number of small family oil operations and other small oil companies that were once all over the United States, American Oil Companies are dwindling in numbers from what once was a great industry in our Country.

Similar to the American Steel Industry which is just a shadow of its former self all because it was almost wiped out by Environmental Regulation.  American Oil Companies are in the same shape.  Where once we had many, now in an America of over 320 Million people, there are a great deal less than there was just 50 years ago.

Why? Over regulation and high taxes.

American Oil Companies employ roughly TWO MILLION AMERICANS.  That's an amazing number of workers.  And what do America's Oil Companies have to do to keep employing those Americans?

Well, they have to compete against extremely well financed Foreign Oil Companies who are almost completely subsidized by their governments.

And yes, our oil companies have to survive from the attacks of the business unfriendly Liberal Political Machines like the Obama White House, the Democratic Party, and Environmentalist Groups who could care less about them being American Companies.

So how big is the Really Big Oil Companies?

Well take a look at this chart of the Top 26  World's Largest Oil and Gas Companies in the entire world.
So how many of these American Oil and Gas Companies are listed among the Top 26  World's Largest Oil and Gas Companies in the entire world? Only 4!

And where does our biggest Oil Company rank in the Top 26 in the World?  Number 17!

Some people refuse to accept the fact that "Less than 3 percent of ExxonMobil’s earnings are from U.S. gasoline sales. ExxonMobil’s earnings are from operations in more than 100 countries around the world. In 2010, Exxon-Mobil made less than 8 cents for every dollar of revenue from all of it's businesses around the world."

The Federal and State governments are making the lion's share at the pumps. To me, if we want to pay for Social programs - then we should encourage productivity and reap the subsequent taxes gained from that increase in sales and productivity.

I am against regulation that stifles growth and productivity, but at the same time I can't see why we can't set up a sort of law that says "American oil to be sold only to Americans."

With our having esentially a "private" source of oil, and like Brazil who lives on what we have, the price of oil on the world market will drop like a rock.

Friends, we have the natural resources and we have the ability get it. We have the capability and the know how. We only lack the leadership.

Washington, D.C., lacks the will, and of course, we know that their lack of will is hampered by Foreign Oil money contributions to many re-election campaign coffers.

Too bad so many self-serving people can be bought so easily to work against America's best interest. It is amazing when you see how easy some people forget about who put them in office.

For me, I never forget who's working for us and who's working for themselves on their own agenda.  And yes, that is especially true around election time when I can make a difference with my vote.

Obama is all about Obama. He is working his own agenda, and it is not an agenda beneficial to the American people.

The Corpse of Osama Bin Laden

Well, about now the whole world knows that Muslim Terrorist Leader Osama Bin Laden was killed yesterday.

The News is wonderful!

The biggest Islamic Terrorist in the world was shot in the head while hiding behind a women.  And honestly, I'd expect no different from a crazed rabid dog like Osama Bin Laden who would kill the innocent in the name of Islam.

All night, all of the TV shows have been pre-empted by the News of him getting his justice.  I'm so very thankful that he wasn't taken alive.

No one knows how grateful I am to the U.S. Navy SEALS for making the back of his head explode like a melon.

Right now the News is talking about giving him a funeral with full Islamic rights.

My first thought is that he waved any and all rights when he savagedly killed thousands of people for no other reasons than hate and envy.

He hated and envied us, so that made him want to murder us.

And now, well now the Obama White House is talking about giving him full Islamic burial rights and ceremonies.  Then they're thinking of burying him at sea.  To me, I thought we were trying to stop polluting the waters.

I personally feel that they should give him the same respect that he gave those people who were never accounted for on 9/11.

When the we were attacked on 9/11,  the number of people killed when four hijacked jets crashed into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and Flight 93 when it came down in a western Pennsylvania field, was 2,975 all toll.

Of the pieces and parts of the innocent victims, there were over 1,200 people who were ground to nothing,  Nothing.   There were not even enough of them to identify or bury.

It has been a said that the families of those missing victims have had no closure because there has never been anything of their loved ones to bury.

So what would I do with the Corpse of Osama Bin Laden?  Well, since he was an evil Muslim, I think I'd feed him to pigs to keep him from entering Islamic paradise.

Although that is being really mean to those pigs - isn't it!

DRILL NOW - PART THREE - Obama Working for Foreign Oil?

In Part Two, I talked about some of the consequences of high gasoline prices, and how President Bush brought gas prices down from a high of $4.20 a gallon to $1.61 a gallon in only 6 months.

Yes, that was the average price of gas Nationally when George W Bush left office in January of 2009.

I talked about President Obama's message to us, the American people, and how it is the same old line that "We can't drill out of this problem" and how "We can't drill out of the high gas prices."

Obama says that "High prices at the pump are inevitable because we are in an Economic Recovery," and that "High gas prices are just a reflection of Americans going back to work." Yet, that doesn't wash!

Here's an example as to why I think the President is just plain wrong.  Before Bush left office, gasoline was $1.61 a gallon and we had 5% unemployment.  Now we have almost 10% unemployment and gas prices are well over $4 a gallon on the average.

President Bush proved for fact that we can have low gas prices and low unemployment.

But logic or fact doesn't matter because I really believe that whenever Obama looks into the camera and lies, he's just doing it because he thinks we're all fools.

I sort of like his constant condemnation of American Big Oil but never Foreign Oil or countries with a vested interested on keeping politicians and political action groups like Environmentalist Groups happy.

His condemnation is just more proof that he is not working for Americans. Fact is, everytime he opens his mouth, he proves people like me right - he is working for Foreign Oil and not any American interest.

Foreign Oil money is the real root cause as to why the Environmentalist, the Liberal Establishment, the Democratic Party, and Obama are so against drilling and using our own American natural resources.

I talked about the Political Contributions and Obama Campaign Donations from Foreign Oil, and how it appears that President Obama works on behalf of the interest of Foreign Oil and Foreign Countries.

Heck friends, it's all about money!
I'm sure that most of us read in the paper that Obama during a trip to Brazil gave those folks down there $10 Billion dollars of American Taxpayer money so that they can start drilling in the Gulf of Mexico. That's right!

Right after he tried to suspend American drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, he gave TEN BILLION DOLLARS to Brazil so that they could start drilling where he doesn't want us to drill.

I like Brazil. They are a wonderful hard working good people. I'm just concerned with Americans having real jobs and not all having only to work at Burger King or Wal Mart.

What gets to me is that after Obama gave them our money that he then had the outrageous gall to say that we'd be their best customers. Imagine that! With a lot of Americans already out of work and all of us having a tough time making ends meet, he says we can't drill but others can and that we'll be their best customers.

But he's a busy man, between Blaming Bush and Golf, he's been real busy. Especially when it comes to making sure Foreign Oil gets paid back for their contributions.  Just look at how Barack Hussein Obama has been helping to ensure Oil is at record highs while keeping Foreign Oil happy.

He does it by attacking America's ability to produce oil.

And how does Obama help Foreign Oil while attacking America's ability to produce oil?

First -  Obama started his attack on American Oil Entrepreneurs by cancelling existing permits to drill here after Bush left office.

Immediately after taking office in 2009, President Obama’s handpicked Secretary of the Department of Interior, Ken Salazar, who in turn canceled 77 leases for oil and gas drilling in Utah. One year later, the administration canceled 61 more leases, this time in Montana.

The excuse Obama gave was that cancelling drilling permits throughout the United States was part of Obama’s "War on Global Warming." But to many many Americans, it's actually Obama's War on America.

It appears his mission is make the United States of America into a Third World Country, both economically and socially.

Second -  Obama delayed American offshore leasing.

Not long after Ken Salazar canceled the Utah leases, he decided to extend for another six months the public comment period for new offshore drilling. As allowed by law, the public had already been given 45 days to comment on the federal government’s pending lease sale to offshore energy producers.

After that Obama should have began developing plans for new leasing. But instead, Obama wanted to drag the process out further, which meant offshore producers would have to wait even longer before they could start drilling. Why? Because he is extremely opposed to oil and gas drilling.

This was in addition to the 25 years that no drilling was allowed for most of the Outer Continental Shelf due to a congressional moratorium that ended in 2008.

Adding insult to injury is that the additional public comments for which the White House asked for, actually supported expanding offshore drilling by a two-to-one margin.

This is a fact that the Obama administration deliberately kept hidden from the American people.

Put simply, the Obama administration did not want any additional offshore drilling. And yes, the fact that the public overwhelmingly opposed them wasn’t going to stop them from pursuing their ideological goal.

Third  -  Obama wants more taxes out of American Oil Companies in an attempt to make them less able to compete with Foreign Oil, which of course means that they can set their own prices and monopolize oil.

What will this do? Simple, it will raise the price of a barrel of oil.

Right after the Pelosi-led Democrat controlled House of Representatives passed its massive cap and trade energy tax, the Obama administration celebrated. After all, it was then-candidate that Barack Obama happily declared that under his plan of cap and trade that energy prices would "necessarily skyrocket."

Although his target was primarily the coal industry, which suffered badly in 2010 under President Obama’s watch, imposing new taxes on carbon dioxide would also heavily impact oil and natural gas production.

So if you have to use propane to heat your water heater, or cook with, or need to be able to run your furnace, well you can thank Obama for your higher bills when you get your gas bill or have to order your propane delivered like I do.

In fact, there was a new gasoline tax in the most recent cap and trade bill in the Senate, legislation President Obama helped negotiate and would have happily signed had both chambers of Congress passed it. And yes friends, if it wasn't for a Republican win last November - that would have happened as sure as there's a Sunday morning.

But then again Obama, our Prima Donna Flake, is smart and shifty.  This was very evident when a study from Harvard University found that a carbon cap that was less stringent than what Congress was considering would send gasoline prices soaring to over $7 per gallon of gasoline.

When all efforts to pass cap and trade legislatively failed, Obama ignored the message that the American public overwhelmingly oppose new energy taxes. Then Obama, seeing that he wouldn't get his way one way, instead decided to impose a carbon cap administratively through the EPA.

That sort of regulation affects all sectors of the economy, including transportation and oil production and refining, which of course means higher gas prices at the pump.

Fourth -  Obama helps Foreign Oil is by his imposing a moratorium on oil and gas drilling after the BP spill in the Gulf.

He imposed a six month moratorium on offshore drilling, claiming that the experts they consulted had advised them to take such an action. Even thought the experts say they hadn’t done anything of the such.

The experts stated publicly that they never supported such a moratorium, and that the White House had manipulated their opinions and expertise solely to advance a political agenda.

Because the administration had no basis for its ban, two Federal Courts stated on three separate occasions that the moratorium was illegal and unjust. Obama completely ignored the experts and the Federal Courts, and instead kept the ban in place.

Ken Salazar said that lifting the moratorium would make him “uncomfortable.” Such a decision ultimately led drillers to relocate their rigs. But worse, hundreds or even thousands of good paying jobs were lose.

And lastly, Obama's issuing a new offshore drilling ban. Imagine that.

Federal Judges say no, but Obama does it anyway. Within weeks of announcing that the moratorium had come to an end, Obama announced a new Executive ban on offshore drilling.

Meanwhile, in the few areas where the White House approves drilling, the administration has completely halted new permits.

Here's something interesting, the Energy Information Administration projects that offshore oil production will decline in 2011 by about 220,000 barrels per day.  Then just before the Obama administration’s bans, the EIA had actually predicted an increase in production for 2011.

OBAMA BOWS
TO SAUDI KING
It's obvious, Obama is working for others. Maybe it's Brazil where he gave them the $10 Billion that we can't afford to be giving out - just so they can start drilling in the Gulf of Mexico? Maybe he's working for Saudi Arabia or Venezuela?

Heck, for the first time in American History we have a President who bowed to the Royalty.  He did in fact bow to the Saudi King,  and if I remember right he hugged the Venezuelan Dictator.

And though I don't know for certain who he's working for, from everything I read and see on the News, I do know he's not working for us.

As the high cost of gasoline takes a toll on politics and pocket books, Obama said on Tuesday, April 28th, that he's calling on all Foreign Oil producers to increase their oil supplies to help stabilize prices.

When Bush tried the same thing in 2008, the Liberal Media said he was looking for a handout from the Saudi King. The Saudis refused to act on Bush's request to step up production.

That refusal actually helped President Bush justify his actions to lift the Drilling Ban.  When gas prices skyrocketed to over $4 a gallon in July of 2008, and in California during that time gasoline was over $5 a gallon.  Something more than more television time was needed.

It took President George W Bush almost 6 months, but he brought it back down to just over a $1.60 a gallon Nationally and a little of $2 a gallon here in California.

That tells me that gas prices can be brought back down by allowing more Drilling Now.
