RANDOM SHOTS: Wisconsin Police Want To Search Homes For Guns, NY Times Reporter Wants Protection, North Dakota Students & Americanism, and More

FIRST SHOT!

Wisconsin Police Chief asks Residents to "Volunteer" their Homes for Searches for Guns.

Comparing gun violence in Beloit, Wisconsin, to the Ebola epidemic in Africa, Beloit Police Chief Norm Jacobs is "asking" residents to volunteer for gun searches.

Yes, knowing that he cannot lawfully obtain warrant for such a search because his desire is in a clear violation to the Constitution, residents are being "invited" to "volunteer" their homes for gun searches.

Police Chief Norm Jacobs' idea is that residents of Beloit, Wisconsin, should volunteer to let his officers search their homes for guns is drawing fire from Second Amendment advocates and even some folks that are not gun owners who normally could care less about the Bill of Rights in general.

And frankly, they should be so angry at his proposal that should fire him and find a Chief that understands the law that he as sworn an oath to protect and defend -- and obey.

So why does Chief Jacobs, the top cop in the southern Wisconsin city of 40,000, want to search everybody's home for guns?

Well, there have been 7 homicides in Beloit this year by way of shootings.

Yes, seven. And no, that's not an error. There have been 7 gun related killings this year in that city of 40,000, and Chief Jacobs finds that is enough to justify declaring guns violence there an epidemic comparable to Ebola in Africa.

Jacobs also finds that enough to violate the Constitution of the United States.

It is interesting to note that the average number of yearly homicides there is 3 since the year 2000. In 2009, the Beloit had 5 homicides all year -- but there is no telling how many were done with guns.

Remember, Tombstone Arizona has a reputation for being a deadly town in the Old West. Yet it is a fact that during it's peak population of 1881 only 5 homicides took place there -- 3 men killed by gunshot wounds at the OK Corral, 1 man was killed by an axe, and 1 man was killed by someone with a rock.

This Chief is a real jewel! And yes, he admits he is surprised that his idea of searching homes for guns has met with negative reaction.

This guy is scary. Remember, this is the top cop there. He sets policy for his department and oversees the ethical conduct of his officers. How can he oversee the ethical conduct of officers when he himself does not know or understand what ethical conduct is?

Jacobs' policy was featured in a recent report by Wisconsin Public Radio. And believe it or not, he likened gun violence to Ebola and said voluntary searches were like a vaccine.

"Gun violence is as serious as the Ebola virus is being represented in the media, and we should fight it using the tools that we've learned from our health providers," he said.

Jacobs told FoxNews.com that his aim is to rein in gun violence in a city that has seen 7 gun-involved homicides this year without infringing on people's right to bear arms.

Really, how about the other rights such as protection against illegal search and seizure of any kind.

Yes, our Fourth Amendment rights protect us from "unreasonable searches and seizures."

While there is no state required gun registration law in Wisconsin, the Beloit police may be using the concept of consenting to a search as a way to look for drugs, stolen goods, and just about anything that the law today says you as a citizen should not have.

Remember, some states are trying to make it illegal to smoke in your own home when there are children present. So theoretically, if that were the case in Wisconsin, if the police come in to search for guns on your consent and see junior present while you're having a cigarette -- you could be arrested for child endangerment.

Think that crazy, well such laws as not being able to smoke in your own car and in your home when children are present have been proposed in quite a few states already.

Point is that there are some folks out there who want to regulate our every movement, from what you eat to what you own.

Tom Grieve, a Milwaukee-area defense attorney, wondered who in the household has the authority to contact police for the search.

He offered a hypothetical in which feuding spouses called police on each other. And what would happen if police stumble on a 10-pound bag of marijuana during the search?

Mr Grieve said, "As a former prosecutor, I'd say the homeowner is consenting to a search, so if police find drugs, I don't see why that homeowner wouldn't be held accountable."

For the sake of the people Beloit, get rid of Chief Jacobs. Find someone with common sense who understands that any city is going to have homicides -- if not gun related, then by some other means.

SECOND SHOT

Red China Decides to Ban Islamic Prayer -- Muslims Outraged

Balancing freedom of religion with the aggressive demands of Islamists can be tricky business in countries that respect one's right to worship as they please.

Of course, Communists countries don't have to concern themselves with such things as religious freedom -- by its nature Communists are Atheists and believe that all religions are the enemy of "the masses."

The Chinese region of Xinjiang has declared Muslim prayer off-limits in public buildings and businesses beginning on January 1st, 2015.

All religious activity will be restricted to Mosques.

In addition, the region will fine those using the internet or mobile technology to “undermine national unity” up to about $5,000.

In other words, Muslim propaganda calling for the creating of a caliphate in Chinese territory will no longer be tolerated. The Chinese have had enough unrest and are now clamping down.

And no, it doesn't stop with public prayer, clothing with ISIS flags which of course represents terrorists groups will also be prohibited.

“An increasing number of problems involving religious affairs have emerged in Xinjiang,” stated deputy director of the Xinjiang People’s Congress and legislative affairs committee director.

The Xinjiang region borders Pakistan, the likely source of much of the increase in Muslim fundamentalism seen in the region.

We here in the United States have a similar problem with the rise of Islamic fundamentalism within our borders.

But, in contrast with China, the Muslims who would like to introduce Sharia Law into the United States have support from none other than President Obama who was raised a Muslim.

THIRD SHOT!

New York Times Reporter Wanted Protection After Publishing Officer Wilson’s Home Address ... But She Got Laughed At Instead

The move actively endangered an already targeted police officer’s life as well as the lives of his family members.

Following his on-duty shooting of robbery suspect Michael Brown in August, Ferguson, Mo., police officer Darren Wilson was targeted by protesters who automatically assumed the white officer was motivated by racism instead of a legitimate threat on his life.

When a Grand Jury completely knowledgeable about every detail of this incident determined the veteran officer should not be charged in the shooting, threats against his life only increased as rioters looted and destroyed businesses in the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson.

Amid the looting, the vandalism, the burning of stores and other businesses, New York Times reporter Julie Bosman stoked tensions by releasing the home address of Officer Wilson and his family.

Yes, the reporter actually published the address where Officer Wilson and his pregnant wife lives.

Similar information was subsequently published by Bloomberg.

The Times supposedly denounced such the publishing of Officer Wilson's address. But frankly, it seemed that they didn't care.

First, the Times Editors could have stopped that information from going out -- but they didn't. Second, while publishing the private address to their residence clearly put Officer Wilson and his wife in life and death situation, jeopardy on a major scale, the paper only stated that publishing their address “may have been unwise in such an emotionally fraught situation.” So no, they didn't stop it because they didn't want to.

As for releasing the home address of Officer Wilson and his wife to rioters, looters, arsonists, people who have put a bounty on the officer's head, Liberals like those at the New York Times have very little compassion for others especially when they are trying to sensationalize a story.

And yes, the Times move clearly endangered the already targeted Wilson family -- but again, that didn't matter to them.

In response to their involvement, Bosman and her colleague, Campbell Robertson, had their addresses published online.

Bosman has since complained that her safety is now threatened and looked to Chicago police for top-tier protection.

According to one account, a source within the department confirmed that she not only exaggerated the threats she ostensibly faced, but sought the same level of police assistance afforded to celebrities and other high-profile individuals.

“She came in thinking she was Steven Spielberg or something shooting a movie,” Got News quoted one department source as saying.

In the end, Bosman was offered a dose of reality. “The police laughed at her,” the source concluded.

Maybe there is a lesson that Liberals can glean from this. Self-indulgent self-righteousness has its consequences.

FOURTH SHOT!

North Dakota Wants To Make Sure Students Know As Much About America As Immigrants

OK, when I first read this, I said, "It's about time!" It is about time that American children know "the basics" of our system of government.

Now a bill is being considered in North Dakota in favor of requiring graduating high school seniors to be as well-versed in America’s system of government -- at least as well verses as immigrants have to be to become citizens.

By requiring students to pass the Civics exam given to foreigners seeking their American citizenship, proponents of the bill hope to create more informed -- and subsequently a more engaged -- citizenry.

The test gauges proficiency across a variety of topics, including Constitutional amendments, America’s founding principles, and the branches of government.

Immigrants must attain a score of 92 percent to become citizens.

Sorry to say, many natural-born citizens on the other hand fall far below that threshold as a whole.

A survey by the Annenberg Public Policy Center determined that more than a third of Americans were unable to name even one branch of government, virtually the same as the number who could name all three.

Shocking as it is, some estimates suggest that only a mere 4% of high school students in some states could currently pass the immigration test.

"We all sort of laugh at that," said Civics Education Initiative Political Director Sam Stone, "but it’s tragically sad at the same time that we don’t know these very, very basic things."

Stone’s organization advocates making the civics test a prerequisite for graduation in every state. It is hoping to reach that goal by the 230th anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution, which will occur in 2017.

Efforts similar to the North Dakota initiative are already under way in other states, including South Carolina. Former Democrat governor and U.S. Secretary of Education Richard Riley noted that support for such a requirement should appeal to those on both sides of the political spectrum.

“It is absolutely critical that all South Carolina students have a sound knowledge of civics,” he said earlier this year. “This is not a partisan issue. It is an American issue.”

In addition to North Dakota and South Carolina, similar proposals are being considered in Arizona, Utah, South Dakota, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Louisiana. Several other states are expected to join the effort in the near future.

FIFTH SHOT!

Chicago Now Known as "Chiraq"

While Chicago is the third most populated city in America, and some try to say that it is a hub for business and finance, others point to what Chicago really is -- a War Zone.

Like Detroit, Chicago was one of America's great cities. Recently it has been dubbed "Chiraq" because the city has become a war zone steeped in gang, blood, and city government corruption.

The name "Chiraq" first emerged after it was reported that more people have been murdered in Chicago than the number of American troops killed overseas in the war torn nations of Iraq and Afghanistan.

In fact, according to statistics, between 2003 and 2011, a total of 4,265 people were killed, murdered, in the city of Chiraq -- I mean Chicago.

In 2012 alone, 512 people were murdered there.

Compare that number to Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan which started in October of 2001. From then to now, in comparison, a total of 2,166 Ameircan troops have been killed.

It's a sad commentary on the Liberal policies of that city's government, and the lack of opportunity there.

THE LAST SHOT!

Arizona professor claims U.S. military is a "Greater Threat" to Peace than ISIS

An Arizona college professor says that American soldiers are anti-Muslim rapists who pose "a greater threat" to world peace than ISIS.

University of Arizona professor Musa al-Gharbi, who also is an academic affiliate at the university’s Southwest Initiative for the Study of Middle East Conflicts, made the comments in a column penned for the online forum TruthOut, and defended them when reached by The Washington Free Beacon.

He called Americans "hypocritical" for expressing moral outrage at the Islamic State, which has raped, murdered and beheaded thousands of Muslims and Christians in its quest to establish a Muslim caliphate in Syria and Iraq.

“It would not be a stretch to say that the United States is actually a greater threat to peace and stability in the region than ISIS — not least because U.S. policies in Iraq, Libya and Syria have largely paved the way for ISIS’ emergence as a major regional actor,” al-Gharbi wrote in the article titled, How Much Moral High Ground Does the U.S. Have Over ISIS?

Al-Gharbi claimed that U.S. troops committing atrocities including rape, for which they face Court Martials and imprisonment if found guilty, are on a level with the widespread and systematic brutality of Islamic State radicals.

“Many of the same behaviors condemned by the Obama administration and used to justify its most recent campaign into Iraq and Syria are commonly perpetrated by U.S. troops and are ubiquitous in the broader American society,” al-Gharbi wrote.

“U.S. soldiers and contractors have and continue to torture their enemies, often taking obscene photos to brag about and reminisce upon their acts.”

Al-Gharbi also claimed that the U.S. military has been “heavily infiltrated by white supremacists, neo-Nazis, and other hate groups.”

Al-Gharbi has written previously for Al Jazeera, including a column in July blaming Israel for provoking Hamas into firing rockets into Israel so it could invade Gaza.

And yes, like other Muslims, he expects us to be stupid and believe him.

A University of Arizona spokesman told FoxNews.com Al-Gharbi was "expressing only his personal opinion in his writing and was not representing the University of Arizona." But frankly, I think that's just a cop out on the part of the University of Arizona who employ's him.

Robert Spencer, author of  Stealth Jihad: How Radical Islam is Subverting America without Guns or Bombs, said al-Gharbi's views are shared on campuses around the country.

"Musa al-Gharbi is not singular," Spencer wrote on the site JihadWatch.org. "There are professors all over the country who say essentially the same things."

I agree that this sort of thing is going on around the country in all of these expensive universities that cater to Liberal ideology of anti-Americanism.

And yes, that's just the way I see it.

  1. I'll say this, Tom. Nobody except for my family and friends deserves to know where I live. I don't need a bunch of people coming to my door asking me if I would like to join this organization or donate money to that charity or do blah blah blah for blah blah blah. if they knew where I lived it's probably because I goofed off and told them. All I will say is that if you really wanna know where I live I live in Winter Haven, Polk County, Florida. I have been living here since 1993 even though I was originally born in Bartow. However, shortly after I was born, my Mom and Dad brought me here to Winter Haven to live. For anybody who thinks that Winter Haven is the county seat of Polk County, I've got news for you. It's not. Bartow is. So basically, I was born in the county seat of Bartow in Polk County. But I was raised right here in Winter Haven. Other than that, you really don't need to know where I live. Unless you're a stalker or somebody out to murder me. Then you would know. But other than that, nothing. Is there anything else you would like to know because we're running out of time. No? Well in that case, I'll see you tomorrow. Not. But as always, stay safe, love each other, keep your powder dry, oh, and one more thing. You guessed it. GET YOUR OWN DORITOS. Haven't said that in a long time.
