RANDOM SHOTS - Walker Kicks Butt, Holder In Contempt, Joe Biden Is Rich, and More!

FIRST SHOT!

Walker Kicks Butt In Wisconsin

Republicans and the Tea Party in Wisconsin can definitely celebrate, Wisconsin Republican Governor Scott Walker won in a landslide victory on Tuesday.

Yes, some are saying he barely survived his recall election Tuesday, capping months of bitterness in the state that began when the first-term governor and Republicans in the State Legislature rolled back what they considered excesses in the collective bargaining agreements of public-employee Unions.

The cash strapped state needed help and the Unions wouldn't give an inch. The next thing you know, all of the Democrats in the State Legislature disappear - they actually left the state instead of stick around and face the state's fiscal problems head on.

It was something that most watching the news had never seen before - they just left the state like rats leaving a sinking ship. And the rats didn't come back, that is not until the teacher's Unions, the SEIU, and the liberal news media was in the capital singing chants of love and unity while calling for the new Governor's head on a platter.

The Republicans in Wisconsin argued the move reign in spending was a necessary part of their efforts to cut Wisconsin’s estimated $3.6 Billion Budget shortfall.

From motels across the state-line, the Democrat rats and union leaders accused the Wisconsin Republicans of over-reaching.

On Tuesday, an overwhelming majority of Wisconsin voters concluded that the complaints against Governor Walker were not enough reason to oust him midterm.

And as of tonight, with more than 90 percent of precincts reported, Scott Walker had nearly 54 percent of the vote, compared with 44 percent for his Democrat challenger who seem to be the party's front-man and mouthpiece through this whole experience.

"Voters really do want leaders who stand up and make the tough calls," Walker said in his victory speech, to chants of "Thank You Scott."

He also thanked people for their prayers, promised to meet soon with state lawmakers and urges residents to come together.

"Now is the time to move forward," he said. "Tomorrow we are Wisconsinites. ... But bringing the state together will be tough. There's no doubt about it."

Of the three recall elections of Governors in U.S. history, only Scott Walker has survived.

Walker’s lieutenant governor, Rebecca Kleefisch, also was projected to survive her recall election.

The recall effort started about a year and a half ago, after the Wisconsin legislature passed Governor Walker's proposal to curb public employee union power, while also requiring most public state workers to pay more for health insurance and pension benefits.

Democrats from around the nation rallied to Wisconsin, Unions poured huge amounts of money to see Walker beaten - all Union Membership Dues of course, liberal protesters gathered, and the liberal Democrat Political Party Machine went into action.

They systematically attacked Walker from every angle. With their standard lines of hate and ridicule, they protested that the Governor had gone too far! And yes, they organized massive statehouse protests is said to have gathered 900,000 signatures for the recall vote.

And no, no one knows how many Democrats registered two, three, four or more times. Or as a matter of fact, if like in 2008, dead people and Micky Mouse returned to vote for the Democrat challenging Walker.

Roughly $63 million was spent on the race. The liberal newspapers are saying that much of Walker’s support coming from outside of the state, but they fail to mention that huge amounts of cash coming in from those like George Soros and Hollywood die-hard liberals.

And how about the Unions, they spent a lot of Union Member Dues to get their way. The outcome Tuesday is a real kick in their collective backsides. With all their posturing and blame, their greed and selfishness, the Unions apparently never once considered the financial state of their state.

And yes, none of their attacks, none of their money, none of their lies and half-truth mattered. According to reports, it appears that most voters seemed to have decided long before Election Day that Scott Walker was doing good for the state and he should stay.

Yes, the impact of the vote is expected to carry into the November elections. But is it really over?

I read somewhere that there are a few people concerned that there might be the possibility that the Democrat Political Party Machine can find fake or forged ballots like what took place in Minnesota not too long ago.

And of course, since Wisconsin went for President Obama in 2008 - the question is being asked if Obama is in trouble in Wisconsin? Can the recall results give Republicans HOPE that we will see real CHANGE in November and put Mitt Romney in the White House?

Mitt Romney visited the state with Wisconsin GOP Rep. Paul Ryan earlier this year.

"I congratulate Scott Walker on his victory in Wisconsin," Romney said. "Governor Walker has demonstrated over the past year what sound fiscal policies can do to turn an economy around, and I believe that in November voters across the country will demonstrate that they want the same in Washington."

Since taking office, Walker has reduced the state budget and seen a drop in the state's unemployment rate.

Scott Walker, the 44-year-old son of a minister, remained unflappable throughout the campaign, as he was during the massive protests that raged at the Statehouse for weeks as lawmakers debated his proposal.

Walker wasn’t the only politician up for recall Tuesday. In addition to Kleefisch, three Republican state senators also face recall votes. A fourth state Senate seat will be determined after the Republican incumbent resigned rather than face the recall.

As for President Obama, well he did not travel to Wisconsin to campaign for Walker's Democrat challenger - not once! But then again, he did "tweet" his support Monday night.

Personally, I think Obama waved at Wisconsin a few times as he flew over the state that he didn't see important enough to stop in and see.

SECOND SHOT!

Alan Dershowitz says Zimmerman Prosecutor Threatening to Sue Harvard for His Criticism

On June 5th, 2012, Alan Dershowitz, wrote a column saying in effect that the Florida State Attorney Angela Corey, the prosecutor in the George Zimmerman case, recently called the Dean of Harvard Law School to complain about his criticism of some of her actions.

He states that she was transferred to the Office of Communications and proceeded to engage in a 40-minute rant, during which she threatened to sue Harvard Law School, to try to get him disciplined by the Bar Association and to file charges against him for libel and slander.

According to Dershowitz, she said that because he works for Harvard and is identified as a professor she had the right to sue Harvard.

When the communications official explained to her that he has a right to express his opinion as “a matter of academic freedom,” and that Harvard has no control over what he says, she did not seem to understand.

She persisted in her nonstop whining, claiming that she is prohibited from responding to his attacks by the rules of professional responsibility - without mentioning that she has repeatedly held her own press conferences and made public statements throughout her career.

Dershowitz claims that Angela Corey's beef with him has to do with his criticizing her for filing a misleading affidavit that willfully omitted all information about the injuries Zimmerman had sustained during the "struggle" it described. She denied that she had any obligation to include in the affidavit truthful material that was favorable to the defense.

She insisted that she is entitled to submit what, in effect, were half truths in an affidavit of probable cause, so long as she subsequently provides the defense with exculpatory evidence.

Dershowitz said she should go back to law school, where she will learn that it is never appropriate to submit an affidavit that contains a half truth, because a half truth is regarded by the law as a lie, and anyone who submits an affidavit swears to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

Before she submitted the probable cause affidavit, Corey was fully aware that Zimmerman had sustained serious injuries to the front and back of his head.

The affidavit said that her investigators "reviewed" reports, statements and "photographs" that purportedly "detail[ed] the following."

It then went on to describe "the struggle," but it deliberately omitted all references to Zimmerman’s injuries which were clearly visible in the photographs she and her investigators reviewed.

Allan Dershowitz is absolutely correct. Present the fact as the are, not what you want them to me.

In his column, he goes on to say, The judge deciding whether there is probable cause to charge the defendant with second degree murder should not have been kept in the dark about physical evidence that is so critical to determining whether a homicide occurred, and if so, a homicide of what degree. By omitting this crucial evidence, Corey deliberately misled the court.

Corey seems to believe that our criminal justice system is like a poker game in which the prosecution is entitled to show its cards only after the judge has decided to charge the defendant with second degree murder.

That’s not the way the system is supposed to work and that’s not the way prosecutors are supposed to act. That a prosecutor would hide behind the claim that she did not have an obligation to tell the whole truth until after the judge ruled on probable cause displays a kind of gamesmanship in which prosecutors should not engage.

The prisons, both in Florida and throughout the United States, are filled with felons who submitted sworn statements that contained misleading half truths. Corey herself has probably prosecuted such cases.

Ironically, Corey has now succeeded in putting Zimmerman back in prison for a comparably misleading omission in his testimony. His failure to disclose money received from a PayPal account requesting donations for his legal defense made his testimony misleadingly incomplete.

In her motion to revoke his bail, Corey argued that Zimmerman “intentionally deceived the court” by making “false representations.” The same can be said about prosecutor Corey. She too misled and deceived the court by submitting an affidavit that relied on a review of photographs and other reports that showed injuries to Zimmerman, without disclosing the existence of these highly relevant injuries.

Even if Angela Corey’s actions were debatable, which I believe they were not, I certainly have the right, as a professor who has taught and practiced criminal law nearly 50 years, to express a contrary view. The idea that a prosecutor would threaten to sue someone who disagrees with her for libel and slander, to sue the university for which he works, and to try to get him disbarred, is the epitome of unprofessionalism.

Fortunately, truth is a defense to such charges.

I will continue to criticize prosecutors when their actions warrant criticism, to praise them when their actions deserve praise, and to comment on ongoing cases in the court of public opinion.

If Angela Corey doesn’t like the way freedom of expression operates in the United States, there are plenty of countries where truthful criticism of prosecutors and other government officials result in disbarment, defamation suits and even criminal charges.

We do not want to become such a country.

Alan M. Dershowitz is the Felix Frankfurter Professor of Law at Harvard Law School. He is a graduate of Brooklyn College and Yale Law School.

And yes, he is a man that I can't help but respect. No one should think that they are so powerful - not a policeman, not a District Attorney, not a President - that they can somehow threaten someone because of what he or she can or cannot say.

The reason that I respect him is because Alan Dershowitz isn't letting some government bureaucrat threaten him. And that, my friends, is as American as you can get!

In Hawaii - Names on World War II Memorial was Painted Over

Right now, the State of Hawaii is getting an earful from World War II veterans.

They are calling on the State of Hawaii to restore a memorial honoring service members killed in action after the memorial was given a fresh coat of paint - and the names of the fallen have become covered over.

The names of hundreds of Hawaii’s World War II casualties are etched into a memorial near Punchbowl and King Streets - but now some are saying that those names are barely visible.

Many people don't even realize that behind a busy bus stop on the corner of King and Punchbowl Streets stands a World War II Memorial which clearly defines the the names of the 806 sons of Hawaii who died in the war.

But now those names are hardly recognizable.

"I think it's disrespectful to the people that they are supposed to be honoring and they should re-letter it at least,” said Roland Leverenz, resident.

The Department of Accounting and General Services says the Memorial was given a fresh coat of paint in the fall of last year, and prior to that work the names were not highlighted, adding that the names may have been more visible due to soot in the engraving.

It doesn't matter when it was done. It should be fixed right now.

World War II veterans of the 100th Infantry Battalion say the new paint has covered up the names to the point where they can't read them anymore.

"To honor the veterans of World War II and then to erase it is disgraceful,” said Judge Takashi Kitaoka, WWII veteran.

A photograph of the memorial hangs on the wall of their clubhouse.

"I think that is a terrible thing to do the veterans earned the recognition of having their name on a memorial and this is a terrible thing,” said Edward Ikuma, WWII veteran.

The memorial, built in 1944, was used during the war for ceremonies.

It reads "in honor of all Americans of Hawaii who died in this world war, that the beauty and freedom of our land might be preserved for all humanity."

Veterans are urging the state to make the names more visible.

"It should definitely be restored so the veterans can be recognized,” said Ikuma. "Fix it, simple as that, just fix it."

According to the report, the Department of Accounting and General Services did not say if or when this issue would be addressed - but really, what is the hold up. They are now award of the problem. I suggest they fix it.

To put this in proper prospective, almost 40 years ago when I was in High School, someone tried to vandalize the statue of King Kamehameha the Great across the street from Iolani Palace by trying to place a toilet bowl between the legs of the statue.

That morning, the toilet was promptly removed. The problem was addressed and the problem was taken cared. It was taken handled swiftly simply because it was an assault on our sense of right and wrong.

I see all Veterans memorials as being no less precious. They should get on it right now.

FOURTH SHOT!

Congressman Issa says "Wiretaps Show Holder Knew Much More About "Fast and Furious'"

U.S. Rep. Darrell Issa pressed Attorney General Eric Holder to come clean on Operation Fast and Furious - saying new information from wiretaps indicated that top White House officials knew more about the ill-fated gunrunning scheme than they have told Congress.

"The wiretap applications show that immense detail about questionable investigative tactics was available to the senior officials who reviewed and authorized them," Issa, R-Calif., said in letter data on Tuesday, according to Fox News. "The close involvement of these officials - much greater than previously known - is shocking."

Representative Darrell Issa, the Chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, added, "Throughout the course of the congressional investigation . . ., the [Justice] Department has consistently denied that any senior officials were provided information about the tactics used in Operation Fast and Furious.

"The wiretap applications obtained by the committee show such statements made by senior department officials regarding the wiretaps to be false and misleading," he said.

The committee chairman wants Holder to tell Congress the facts as to what exactly did the administration know - and of course, when?

Attorney General of the Untied States in supposedly America's top cop. Eric Holder is the Attorney General.

The man in that position is supposed to be trusted, honest, impartial, and reliable. And  Holder, who has not responded to Issa’s letter, is none of that and instead has refused to produce documents that committee officials have subpoenaed and has said he has given congressional investigators all of the "relevant" information. Relevant to his way of thinking, but not their's.

Operation Fast and Furious was started and ran by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. It provided thousands of guns to supposed arms dealers at the U.S.-Mexico border in hopes of finding those who organized Drug Cartels.

But friends, the weapons were used in Mexican streets to murder and terrorize - and one was purportedly used in a 2010 gun battle that killed U.S. Border Patrol agent Brian Terry.

Yes, the Federal Government provided the bad guys with thousands of guns to do only God knows what with - and no one has had to answer for it  - yet!
The wiretaps sought to allow investigators in Arizona to listen to the phone calls of suspects in hopes of revealing evidence of involvement by high-level Mexican cartel associates. The six applications for wiretaps detail specific actions taken by agents involved in the operation, the committee said on Tuesday in a statement.

The wiretaps have now been sealed by a Federal judge.

The information shows that our officials made "conscious decisions" not to interdict weapons that agents knew were illegally purchased by smugglers taking weapons to Mexico, the statement said.

In October, Representative Issa subpoenaed the remaining documents on the Operation - and last month asked House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, to support his plans to hold Eric Holder in contempt of Congress for failing to meet the subpoena deadline.

The committee also said the information in the wiretaps had been requested in the subpoena. The content of the wiretaps cannot be made public because they remain sealed.

At the minimum, Eric Holder should be arrested and placed into custody for obstructing justice.

And no, I'm not a Racist. I'd have him arrested if he were any color. Bsides, I'm just an American who hates corruption in our government at the highest level. It should not be condoned or tolerated.

FIFTH SHOT!

Biden Spends $1 Million Annually for Weekend Trips

I love hearing President Obama call someone else rich when he's loaded. I laugh whenever I hear him talk about people born with a Silver Spoon in their mouth, when is fact he was.

Yes, Obama and most of his administration are pretty wealthy. But lately, I've heard all sorts of talk about how Joe Biden is not a rich man - though he is also rich.

Last June, President Obama appointed Vice President Joe Biden to root out wasteful government spending. In reality, that's sort of like assigning a coyote to root out problems in the chicken coop.

My friends, Joe Biden is wasteful government spending personified.

Personified! Yes, personified. I was looking for the proper word to describe what he's doing. And in my opinion, Joe Biden is government waste personified. It means that he represents a quality or concept by a figure in human form. It means we can attribute a personal nature or human characteristics to something non-human like government waste.

See, every Friday, whether Joe Biden is really as wealthy as Obama or even Romney doesn't matter - he lives the lifestyle of a very rich man.

Biden takes a helicopter designated as "Marine Two" from the vice president’s residence to Joint Base Andrews in Maryland.

Then from there, Joe Biden, who claims to be just one of the guys, hops on "Air Force Two" to fly back to his home in Delaware. At the end of the weekend, he returns on "Air Force Two."

He does this every weekend!

During warm weather, Joe Biden regularly returns to Andrews on the airplane on Saturdays to play golf at the Air Force base with President Obama. Using it as a shuttle, or a taxi, after the golf game, he hops back aboard his private plane - oops, I mean Air Force Two - and flies back to Delaware.

Then of course he returns to Washington on the plane on Sunday evening.

Friends, even if he weren't rich, Joe Biden doesn't need to be rich  — this is all paid for at Taxpayer Expense.

The cost of flying his Air Force Two is $22,000 an hour, so each half-hour trip to or from Delaware costs about $10,000.

Each the American Taxpayer, every Saturday golf game for Joe Biden costs taxpayers $20,000. At that rate, the annual cost to taxpayers of Biden’s weekend trips is well over $1 Million.

But hold on, you see, in addition this bullspit, the Secret Service rents more than 20 condominiums in the Wilmington, Delaware, area for agents who must accompany Joe Biden when he returns to his home state.

Of course, good 'ol boy Joe Biden, well his press office had no comment.

"Biden leaves every Friday from Joint Base Andrews, so he gets lifts from the observatory via Marine Two to Andrews Air Force Base, takes off via Air Force Two, lands in Delaware, and stays the weekend and then comes back on Sunday nights," says a Secret Service agent familiar with the trips.

"Every three or four weeks when it’s warm, he gets up there on Saturday and then will fly back on Air Force Two," the agent says. "While Air Force Two is sitting on the tarmac at Andrews, he goes and plays golf with the president at Andrews Air Force Base, gets back on the plane, and flies back to Delaware. Let me tell you something, that is egregious."

Besides that, “The Secret Service rents condos in Wilmington because his schedule is so fluid and never concrete enough to properly prepare for his visits to Delaware," the agent says. “So they keep a fully staffed Secret Service advance team in Delaware in condominiums that we lease so that when he does these things back and forth to D.C., they’re up there ready for him to arrive."

The Boeing C-32 that usually flies as Air Force Two is a specially configured Boeing 757-200 commercial jet which typically requires a crew of 18.

As a U.S. senator, Biden was proud of the fact that he commuted daily by train from his home in Delaware to Washington during the week.

Amtrak named the newly renovated Wilmington station the Joseph R. Biden, Jr. Railroad Station.

But after taking office as vice president, a Secret Service agent says Biden began the pattern of commuting on Air Force Two on weekends, costing taxpayers close to $4 Million - so far.

As recently as May 12th, Joe Biden flew back to Andrews to play golf with Obama and with Biden’s second son Hunter and White House trip director Marvin Nicholson. They played 18 holes of golf for four and a half hours.

Not bad for a guy that's supposedly "just an ordinary Joe" - right!

Biden also plays golf at a country club he belongs to in the Wilmington area. The Secret Service agent says that since Air Force Two parks at Andrews, Obama is obviously aware that Biden is running up a huge government tab for each game of golf he plays with him.

Asked if President Obama thinks these costs are appropriate, why he has not questioned Biden flying to play golf with him at a cost of $20,000 per game, and in view of these costs of $1 Million a year for weekend trips, whether the vice president should no longer be in charge of cutting government waste, the president’s press office had no immediate comment.

In addition to his salary as vice president of $230,700, Biden has free use of the vice president’s residence at the Naval Observatory. The vice president’s residence is a handsome 9,150-square-foot, three-story mansion overlooking Massachusetts Avenue NW in Washington.

Complete with pool, pool house, and indoor gym, the white brick house was built in 1893 as the home of the superintendent of the U.S. Naval Observatory. Congress turned it into the official residence of the vice president in 1974 and gave it the address One Observatory Circle.

During the day, at least five Navy stewards attend to every personal need of the second family, including cleaning, cooking, shopping for food, and doing the laundry.

Biden has portrayed himself as a "regular Joe," supposedly some sort of product of a "working class family" who "takes on Millionaires" and "evil wealthy" Republicans who are said to be out of touch with middle-class Americans.

What a lot of crap!

Ever notice how they make making money sound like a sign? Too bad they don't tell the American people that the number of millionaires in America is going down, which of course means that those some folks who have the money to start and run businesses and subsequently create more jobs are becoming fewer under Obama.

Last June 13th, Obama placed Biden in charge of a Campaign to Cut Waste, which will "hunt down and eliminate misspent tax dollars in every agency and department across the federal government," according to the White House website.

In an email, Joe Biden told his supporters that he was the "New Sheriff in town."

He said that "particularly at a time when we’re facing tough decisions about reducing our deficit, it’s a no-brainer to stop spending taxpayer dollars on things that benefit nobody."

The report about this ended by saying that Joe Biden has been a long-time proponent of train travel.
But honestly, the way this administration spends Taxpayer Dollars - I can't see Joe Biden taking the train if it's not a personal private train. Besides, why should he? He's got a private helicopter, private jet, private staff, private security, meals, accommodations, and he ain't putting out a dime to pay for it

We're paying for it!

Lord, please protect us from full of shit politicians, hypocrite liberals, and scamming con artist in the Obama administration! Though they are something to behold, they should be sent packing!
