Ann Romney slammed for $990 Shirt, yet Michelle Obama is praised for her $6,800 jacket!

I missed this one, so it is a little backtracking. But yes, it has everything to do with the liberal media's double standard.

It was reported early this month that back in May, Ann Romney, wife of Mitt Romney, wore a $990 Reed Krakoff silk shirt for a media appearance.

Supposedly, the silk shirt set off a media firestorm with the Romneys widely accused of being "out of touch" with average Americans.

According to the article, one liberal news entity in particular was the Washington Post who wrote that the $990 blouse "will not help her husband change those perceptions, no matter how many Laundromat photo ops are on the campaign’s itinerary."

Wow, that paper sounds very sincere huh?

Well then fast forward to last Friday when First Lady Michelle Obama attended an Olympics reception for heads of state at Buckingham Palace. She wore a J. Mendel cap sleeve jacket from the 2013 Resort collection.

The price-tag? How about $6,800.00! No shit! That's a lot of money for a jacket in anyone's book!

But, guess what, did the same people at the Washington Post who said the Romneys were "out of touch" announce that Michelle Obama was "out of touch"? Hell no they didn't!

Instead, the Washington Post simply described the "intricacies" of the jacket and noted that Mrs. Obama has previously been criticized for "not dressing up enough for Queen Elizabeth II, so she stepped up her game."

No snide remarks, no outrage over the cost, no suggestion she was “out of touch."

This is the kind of bullshit that people are tired of. It has gotten old! Fair is fair, why not be a little fair with your mightier than thou attitude. Why just reserve any and all hatred for anyone who is a Republican or a Conservative while giving Democrats and Liberals a pass for this that and the other thing.

We know this goes on. Americans see this all the time. And yes, that is the reason for the loss in readership, and advertising dollars - no one likes to see favoritism.

Whether it's promoting a man over a woman even though she is more qualified, or asking a black man for his identification while letting another non-black go on his way "just because", no one likes double standards.

It reeks of a lack of maturity and intelligence. It isn't fair and it's getting old. It is also a shame that the weak kneed liberal establishment has to resort to it all the time no matter what the situation.

"Oiho" he said. "57 States" he said. But wait, did anyone in the liberal media take Obama to task for his lack of intelligence - if it were Dan Quayle they certainly would have.

"The media’s overabundant love affair with the Obamas has become increasingly blatant as this election draws nearer. Scrutinizing Mrs. Romney for a fashion choice that cost considerably less than that of the First Lady is yet another example of the media being purely sanctimonious," former political publicist Angie Meyer told Fox News.

"The media continues to relish their roles as liberal bullies, and have relentlessly bullied the Romneys from the beginning. It is pure hypocrisy at its finest.”

Glenn Selig of The Publicity Agency agreed.

"The media will not stay quiet on the issue because wealth remains a big issue with the Romneys. It is not his fault that he's wealthy, but the media is portraying it as a liability," Selig said.

Dan Gainor, VP of Business and Culture for Media Research Center in Washington DC, said it’s "just the latest example of a consistent media theme that somehow Romney is too wealthy and out of touch because he's a millionaire. Except of course that Obama is also a millionaire."

No matter if Barack Hussein Obama is also wealthy. No matter that Obama has not given haredly any of his millions to charity like the Romneys have, or whether or not the Romneys used their money to put other people to work. No, it just doesn't matter when you're steering the truth to your own advantage.

Some also highlighted the apparent hypocrisy on Twitter. “And you thought the Romneys were out of touch?” tweeted one, while another wondered who had to pay for the almost $7,000 dress, and another balked that the “jacket would put a lot of food on the table of one of the 25M unemployed people in USA.”

Mark Joseph, producer of “Wild Card: The Promise & Peril of Sarah Palin,” added that "Mrs. Romney's wardrobe expenses are certainly fair game, but so are Mrs. Obama's, and political reporters have got to do a better job of being even-handed."

Sure, but they won't!

And yes, I have a problem with people saying "political reporters have got to do a better job of being even-handed."

I ask, why do they have to when they really don't have to? What motivates them to do so? They have no honor, if they did than they wouldn't do what they do now.

The news business is unregulated, and subsequently like Hollywood can make the most violent movies ever seen and show exactly how to kill people in a theatre, the liberal news media can attack Republicans, Conservatives, and anyone else who they want to without a care in the world.

They do it because they can. They can because they are in the pockets of big money Democrats. And when they say that they will do a better job being even handed, it's all just more bullshit from people who attack others and lie for a living.

They don't care to change so they won't. They paint the world how they see it. It doesn't matter if they re-write history or spin around the facts, they do it because they can.

Joe Biden yelled out "put y'all back in chains!"

We all know what he meant. And yes, some in the liberal Media picked it up and ran with it saying factually incorrect statements such as he said it because "Republicans want to own slaves again!"

It doesn't matter if in fact Democrats owned slaved and the Republican Party was in fact formed to fight slavery. Or if, the Republicans have been a friend to minorities ever since. They want to empower all Americans. But, fact is, the media doesn't want to hear that. And it's certain, that that's not what they want you to hear

Facts don't serve their purpose to slander, demean, disgrace, and disparage Conservatives -  and it doesn't matter if the facts do because they will still use what they want and disregard the truth.

These days the liberal media has a mission. They are working on behalf of the Democrats busy creating class and gender warfare. They are too busy attacking with a venomous prejudice. Yes, I really believe the actions of the liberal media is based on a prejudice that runs deep.

Prejudice is defined as a preconceived opinion not based on reason or experience. To me, liberal media bias is a form of prejudice akin to bigotry and racism. And yes, they are practitioners.  

The double standard proves time and time again that Liberals hate Conservatives no different than how the Klan hates black Americans. They take every opportunity to attack, no solutions to our many problems, just more attacks.

Liberals see all Conservatives as the enemy just the same as all racist see others other them themselves as the enemy.

That's how I see the liberal media and their double standard.

Paul Ryan says Obama responsible for America's "debt, doubt, and decline!"

Making one last stop in his hometown before flying to Tampa for the official nomination to the Republican ticket, vice presidential pick Paul Ryan slammed the current White House for putting the nation down a road of "debt, doubt and decline."

This is mot a swipe at the President, it is just an observation of what is happening in our country since we put an inexperienced Socialist in the White House.

In an interview with Fox News' Bret Baier, Ryan teed up his speech at the Republican National Convention by stressing that the weather-delayed event will nevertheless provide a critical opportunity to draw a "contrast" with President Obama's policies.

"The contrast between the President Obama plan, which has put us (down the road of) debt, doubt and decline, versus Mitt Romney's vision and solutions for a better future, to get us back to prosperity, couldn't be clearer," Ryan said. "And what we want to do is highlight those contrasts."

As Republican officials announced that the abbreviated convention would be going forward as planned, after a one-day delay, Ryan said safety remains the priority and "we'll have to call ... how we see it."

He went on to defend his tax policies, preparing for what will likely be an onslaught of Democratic attacks when the rival party holds its convention next week.

Ryan rejected the conclusion of a Tax Policy Center study, which calculated that Mitt Romney's proposals to reform the tax code would require a tax hike on lower- and middle-income households. Obama has continually cited the study on the campaign trail.

"It's not an accurate study, it's actually not a study of the actual Romney plan," Ryan said. The Tax Policy Center stated in its analysis that they do not score Romney's plan "directly" since "certain components of his plan are not specified in sufficient detail."

"We want to get rid of the corporate welfare, the crony capitalism stuff in the tax code," Ryan said. "But we want Congress to participate in a transparent debate, in front of the public eye, so we can have a really good debate about how best to broaden the tax base and lower tax rates."

Ryan also made an appeal to supporters of Ron Paul, whom the vice presidential candidate called a "friend of mine."

"We see eye to eye on a lot of issues and believe in some ... limited government," Ryan told Fox News. "We believe in academic freedom. We believe in the founding principles. We believe that this is a watershed moment for America, whether or not we're going to reclaim the American idea or we're going to become, you know, a cradle-to-the-grave welfare state, which is where I think the president is taking us."

Ryan addressed the tension with Paul supporters after the Texas congressman held a counter-convention rally in Tampa Sunday attended by thousands. At the rally, Paul accused the GOP establishment of "failing" the country.

Ryan, though, noted that he and Paul have served together for years in the House and suggested he wasn't anticipating any problems.

"So I think, in the final analysis, Ron is clearly going to -- he and his supporters should be very comfortable with us," Ryan said. "At the end of the day, it's a choice between the president's failed leadership, the big government that he's offering, the borrowing that he's offering, the spending and the regulating that he's offering, which will give us a stagnant economy, a lost generation, not just a lost decade, and the Mitt Romney-Paul Ryan plan of reclaiming our founding principles, getting back to economic freedom and liberty and reviving this economy."

Monday's hometown rally for Ryan was an emotional sendoff for the Janesville native, with 2,000 people gathering in his high school gym to celebrate the biggest political event the city has ever experienced.

"We're fifth-generation Janesville, Wisconsin, natives," a visibly moved Ryan said to the crowd, which featured the atmosphere of a pep rally profoundly colored by hometown pride. "And it's not a unique story. It's the American story. And the reason our family came here and the reason everybody else's family came here is because of what this country stands for. America's not just a piece of geography. It's an idea."

Baier asked Ryan to reflect on the time he almost quit Congress, quoting an interview he gave Stephen Hayes of the Weekly Standard in which he said: "After we got thumped by Pelosi in '06, I was just sitting in my tree stand right after that election thinking about, you know, Why am I in Congress? What am I doing? Is it really serving a purpose?"

"That tree stand is about six miles in that direction," Ryan responded. "I can get into my tree stand within about 20 minutes of leaving my house."

"I decided back then I'm going to do what I think is right, I'm going to move this debate, so we can get this country fixed, so we don't have the kind of European result that we're clearly heading toward," he continued. "And what I'm really pleased to see is that we're finally having that adult conversation we need to have in this country if we want to fix this country's problems and get us back to prosperity and get people back to work."

Ryan told Fox News he thinks about his father every day. He died when Ryan was only 16. 

"It was one of those moments in a life where you basically have to make a decision whether you sink or swim. You know, when something like that happens to you, it's a real punch in the stomach and you have to decide whether you're going to get yourself up, brush yourself off and dive into life. That's the decision I made when I was 16. And it's made me a stronger person as a result of it. And I'd like to think he'd be proud of not just what we're doing here, but of my entire family and -- and what we're doing."

Paul Ryan is just someone to be respected. Too bad, the Democrat political machine will try to destroy his life.

Actor R. Lee Ermey, Geico's Drill-Sergeant-Therapist, says He Was Fired From Commercial For Criticizing Obama

It was reported on Monday, August 27th, that "Full Metal Jacket” star and Geico's "Therapist Sarge" R. Lee Ermey said the insurance giant fired him from his commercial spot for speaking out against President Barack Obama, according to a report from TMZ.

Ermey played a former drill sergeant in the commercial, where he called a weeping man a “jackwagon” before throwing a box of tissues at the man in a hilarious and popular commercial for Geico.

But in 2010, Ermey slammed the president’s policies, saying his administration was attempting to “impose socialism” on the American people and, in the process, was “destroying the country,” TMZ reports.

Shortly afterward, he apologized for making the comments, but not before Geico decided to give him the boot. He told TMZ that he was fired over the incident, adding “if you’re conservative in this town, you better watch out.”

Ermey, a Marine Corps veteran, has also appeared in films like “Apocalypse Now,” “Mississippi Burning,” and “Leaving Las Vegas,” as well as voicing characters in the “Toy Story” films and “Family Guy.”

This story made me want to call and cancel my coverage from GIECO.

Documentary Film "2016" - A Hit At The Box Office

One of the top 10 films at the weekend box office was a documentary that equates Barack Obama’s reelection with the death and dismemberment of the United States of America — “2016: Obama’s America” grossed about $6.5 million to land at No. 7, nearly $800,000 ahead of Meryl Streep’s latest, the pro-Obama film titled “Hope Springs.”

This was the second-lowest-grossing weekend of the year, but the film’s $9.3 million seven-week haul is still enough to make it the most successful conservative political documentary of all time, as defined and ranked by Box Office Mojo.

It’s also the sixth-highest-grossing all-around political documentary, ranking behind four Michael Moore films and “An Inconvenient Truth,” which starred Al Gore and glaciers.

"It’s like the sophomore on the varsity squad who comes out and plays better than the seniors but they still lose the game," says Keith Simanton, managing editor of IMDb. "It’s still impressive."

So, uh, where’d this movie come from?

How about from the mind of Dinesh D’Souza — president of King’s College in New York, former Reagan staffer, author of books and articles claiming that Obama espouses an anti-colonialist (America and Great Britain) worldview that endangers America.

It 25 donors, who kicked in a combined $2.5 million, to bankroll the project which was completed in June and premiered July 13 on one screen in Houston.

A month later it was playing in 10 theaters, then 61 the following week. It was on 169 screens the weekend of Aug. 17 to 19. On Friday it hit 1,091 and was the No. 4 film nationwide that day.

John Sullivan, D’Souza’s co-director, credits “a grass-roots campaign” for the film’s relative success. Local talk radio hosts were enlisted to cheerlead and shower their listeners with free tickets to encourage word-of-mouth marketing.

After Houston, where local radio personality Mike Berry gave away hundreds of tickets, “2016” opened in Nashville and Baton Rouge, then Denver, Phoenix, San Diego and Los Angeles. Now it’s playing at 10 D.C. area theaters. Ads have appeared on Fox News, MSNBC and the History channel.

In 87 minutes, using D’Souza’s texts as a foundation, "2016" declares that the absence of his father compelled Obama to push his way to the presidency. Which he was able to obtain largely because of his skin color.

Now Obama is waiting until his second term to implement stripping wealth from the upper classes, bankrupting the country so it can be remade into a socialist state, depleting America’s nuclear warheads and permitting a sort of "United States of Islam" to align between Morocco and Pakistan - with the mission of wiping out Israel.

"I’m conservative, but open-minded, and will want to watch it again,” says Frank, a federal employee who lives in the District and declined to give his last name.

He learned about the movie Sunday on Facebook and attended the 12:50 p.m. showing Monday at Regal Gallery Place. "I never thought about the colonial background. It’s interesting that they’ve thought about what could happen" if Obama is reelected.

A ballooning debt is one of the most nefarious elements at play in this mix, says “2016” producer Gerald R. Molen, who won an Oscar for “Schindler’s List” and is making his first foray into documentaries.

“I’m in my 70s. I have grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and want them to have the same opportunities I’ve had in this country,” Molen says. “I haven’t been in one screening yet where there hasn’t been applause at the end, and that’s kind of gratifying. People come out and say, ‘I learned a lot.’ Some have said, ‘It frightened me.’ ”

Sullivan hopes to expand the film to 1,500 theaters this weekend.

Ron Paul says "Put me down as undecided."

Friends, this is not a big surprise.

He left the Republican Party in Ronald Reagan's last year in office in 1988. He made sure everyone knew how he felt about Ronald Reagan before leaving.

He said, "I want to totally disassociate myself from the policies that have given us unprecedented deficits, massive monetary inflation, indiscriminate military spending, an irrational and unconstitutional foreign policy, zooming foreign aid, the exaltation of international banking, and the attack on our personal liberties and privacy."

Angry with the Republicans, Ron Paul ran for President on the Libertarian ticket in 1988 - but only pulled .47% of the vote.

Don't let this information, or what he has said in the past surprise you. Paul has made a lot of comments that would scare the living hell out of most Americans.

In case you missed it, he thinks we're at fault for the 9/11 terrorist attack.

That's right, he is known for saying, "They (Al-Qaeda) attack us because we've been over there. We've been bombing Iraq for 10 years."

As to whether or not the Taliban, who is allied with Al-Qaeda on the 9/11 attack, was not a threat to us. He said, "Taliban doesn't mean they want to come here and kill us. The Taliban means they want to kill us over there because all they want to do is get people who occupy their country out of their country just like we would if anybody tried to Occupy us."

Yes, according to Ron Paul 9/11 was our fault - and yes, the Taliban is the victim.

Like I said, don't be too surprised at what Ron Paul comes up with. On the whole Michael Moore 9/11 conspiracy idea, Ron Paul sided with Michael Moore.

When asked if a complete, impartial, and totally independent investigation of the events of September 11, 2001 should take place, Ron Paul shockingly answered:

"Well, that would be nice to have. Unfortunately, we don’t have that in place. It will be a little bit better now with the Democrats now in charge of oversight. But you know, for top level policy there’s not a whole lot of difference between the two policies so a real investigation isn’t going to happen. But I think we have to keep pushing for it. And like you and others, we see the investigations that have been done so far as more or less cover-up and no real explanation of what went on."

Imagine that. It sounds as though he really believes it was someone other than the Muslim Terrorists.

But that shouldn't shock anyone, after all he has made all sorts of strange out of this world - actually pretty stupid comments.

When he was asked about Black Americans, believe it or not, he said, "If you have ever been robbed by a black teen-aged male, you know how unbelievably fleet-footed they can be....Given the inefficiencies of what D.C. laughingly calls the `criminal justice system,' I think we can safely assume that 95 percent of the black males in that city are semi-criminal or entirely criminal."

Wow, he thinks 95% of the black males in Washington D.C. are criminals in one way or another. Now there a concept that feeds right into the whole bullshit notion that Republicans are racists.

As for one of the greatest presidents in the history of our nation, Abraham Lincoln? Well, Ron Paul has very little respect for Abe Lincoln. And also, check his crazy take on history or what was going on at the time.

His quote, "I don’t think he was one of our greatest presidents. I mean, he was determined to fight a bloody civil war, which many have argued could have been avoided. For 1/100 the cost of the war, plus 600 thousand lives, enough money would have been available to buy up all the slaves and free them. So, I don’t see that is a good part of our history. Besides, the Civil War was to prove that we had a very, very strong centralized federal government and that’s what it did. It rejected the notion that states were a sovereign nation."

OK, so he really thinks that the Federal Government could have bought up all the slaves and set them free? Of course he doesn't address the fact that that would not have solved the slave trade into the Southern States controlled by Democrats - and that it would not have ultimately stopped slavery in the South.

But again, this is not surprising, Ron Paul is known to think more like a Democrat than a Republican when it comes to Black Americans.

Just take a look at what he said about the Civil Rights Act of 1964 which was filibustered by Democrats in Congress - and in fact passed as a result of Republican votes.

Ron Paul said, get ready for this, "The Civil Rights Act of 1964 not only violated the Constitution and reduced individual liberty; it also failed to achieve its stated goals of promoting racial harmony and a color-blind society."

Imagine that for a minute, and tell me if you don't think that that sounds like a 1960s Democrat.

These are all way over the top, but they're no even close to what he thinks about Social Security and Medicare.

When interviewed by Fox News Chris Wallace, Ron Paul came up with some really interesting insight in the way he thinks. Especially about Social Security and Medicare.

Chris Wallace asked, "You talk a lot about the Constitution. You say Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid are all unconstitutional."

Ron Paul answered, "Technically, they are. … There’s no authority [in the Constitution]. Article I, Section 8 doesn’t say I can set up an insurance program for people. What part of the Constitution are you getting it from? The liberals are the ones who use this General Welfare Clause. … That is such an extreme liberal viewpoint that has been mistaught in our schools for so long and that’s what we have to reverse—that very notion that you’re presenting."

Chris Wallace seemed a little taken back, but then asked, "Congressman, it’s not just a liberal view. It was the decision of the Supreme Court in 1937 when they said that Social Security was constitutional under Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution."

Ron Paul answered, "And the Constitution and the courts said slavery was legal too, and we had to reverse that."

As for legalizing Heroin and Cocaine? Yes, he really did say he was in favor of it.

When asked, "You say that the federal government should stay out of people's personal habits, including marijuana, cocaine, even heroin."

Ron Paul answered, "It's an issue of protecting liberty across the board. If you have the inconsistency, then you're really not defending liberty. We want freedom [including] when it comes to our personal habits."

When pushed, "Are you suggesting that heroin and prostitution are an exercise of liberty?"

Paul's answer probably surprised everyone watching when he said, "Yes, in essence, if we leave it to the states. For over 100 years, they were legal."

It seems that Ron Paul doesn't understand how things like drugs become illegal for the good of America. Legalizing drugs like heroine and cocaine is insane.

I can't help but wonder, since he says its OK just because it was OK once upon a time - then what does he think of legalizing slavery or legalizing white only bathrooms again. Both were also legal once upon a time, and both became illegal for the good of America. 

Yes, that's Ron Paul. And yes, he has a following.

Why the following? Well, the reason is that he says some things that actually make sense. But friends, that doesn't surprise me either - my grandpa used to say that a broken clock is still right twice a day. So him being right on a few things doesn't surprise me.

Because of his history and comments, yes I can actually see him sitting out the election and not voting for Republican Mitt Romney. Of course, by him doing so, he gives a vote to Obama.

Why? Well  it's because it means that his vote will not offset a vote for Obama by a loyal Obama supporter. If that happens, in the end Obama will win.

It is what happened four years ago. People couldn't find it in themselves to hold their nose and vote for John McCain because he was perceived as being weak and ineffective and a liberal Republican - a RINO (Republican In Name Only).

Because of that, it was reported that 26% of Conservatives didn't even show up to vote in 2008. And friends, that's how Obama became president.

Because we didn't get out the vote to vote against him and offset the votes for Obama, he became president. We really can't afford to make that mistake again.

That's just how I see it!
