When asked once about why I had a pair of Over-reach Boots on my horse, I explained that I had a Shoer once who liked to keep the toes long. I didn't have that Shoer very long. I found one that understood the problem of my horse over-reaching and cutting the back of his front hoof' coronet band, and he kept them shorter.
My farrier leaves my horse's toes long. I ask for him to shorten the toe a bit, but he persists with the long toe. Do you have an opinion about this?

ReplyDeleteI have a big Gelding with a huge stride. He dose the same. I have to keep bell boots on him even in field.
